Roy Schauffele, FCSI, CCPR, LEED Green Assoc. is the founder of D7S (Division 7 Solutions, Inc.). He is a Fellow of the Construction Specification Institute (CSI) and a former Director of the Board, an internationally published author in Division 7 subjects, a requested speaker at both the AIA and CSI conventions, holder of numerous awards and US patents, a former elected and currently appointed government official, and he has been the speaker at over 425 AIA Learning Unit programs. He currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Air Barrier Association of America.
He is the developer of the "Mold Resistant Insulated Steel Stud Wall" which some International Publications have recently called "The wall that works everywhere" or “The Perfect Wall”. Originally presented at an AIA lecture series in McAllen in Feb. 2002 it has served to answer many of the mold and IAQ problems associated with steel stud construction and it is now the standard for energy efficient wall design in all 2012 Codes.
Robert Popp, CSI, CCPR is the Senior Architectural Representative for D7S. He is a published author and a graduate of Texas A & M School of Architecture with his expertise being in Environmental Design. He has been the speaker at over 160 AIA Learning Unit programs. Some of his areas of expertise are; air barriers, wall design and water repellent technologies. He currently is a member of the Air Barrier Association Education and Outreach Committee and is program director for Fort Worth CSI.
